The construction team broke ground on the project site on Thursday, May 6, 2004. Phase I is underway and work is in progress. The project will consist of the complete reconstruction of the waterfront park, but maintain the historical facade representative of St. Croix’s heritage. Natural stone work will be used throughout various components of the project to preserve the local architecture. Lush landscaping typical of Caribbean destinations will surround the park. This waterfront park will be an astonishing welcoming site to cruise ship passengers and inviting to all.
